He is passionate about the analytical and problem-solving aspects of finance — ensuring accuracy, compliance, and clarity in every report he produces. Xavier takes pride in turning complex financial data into meaningful insights that support confident, well-informed decision-making.

With a background that combines marketing and finance, and proficiency in South African Sign Language, Xavier offers a well-rounded, communicative approach to client service. His attention to detail and commitment to excellence ensure that every client receives accurate, compliant, and value-driven financial support.

Outside of work, Xavier enjoys karate, boxing, ballroom and Latin dancing, reading, and exploring new destinations — a balance of discipline, creativity, and curiosity that mirrors his professional outlook.

Joshua Slack

Business Analyst

With over four years of experience in the financial industry, Joshua brings precision, insight, and a passion for problem-solving to his role as Business Analyst. He thrives on solving complex financial challenges, combining meticulous financial analysis with strategic portfolio management to deliver meaningful results for clients.

Joshua enjoys diving deep into the numbers, ensuring that every portfolio he manages is accurate, efficient, and aligned with each client’s long-term goals. His analytical mindset and attention to detail allow him to identify key issues and uncover opportunities that make a real difference in the financial wellbeing of those he works with.

He holds a Bachelor of Accounting, a BCom Honours in Management Accounting (Cum Laude), and an Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting — all earned through a commitment to academic excellence and professional growth.

Outside of work, Joshua is an enthusiastic sportsman who enjoys padel, golf, running, and training for various races — always up for a new challenge both on and off the field.

Pienaar le Roux

With nearly four decades of experience in the financial industry, Pienaar brings extensive knowledge, trusted relationships, and a genuine passion for helping clients achieve financial confidence. He began his career at First National Bank in 1986 and joined the group in 1997, where he has been an integral part of the Third Age Group for 27 years.

Pienaar holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and specialises in truly getting to know his clients — becoming a trusted soundboard for their financial decisions. He is committed to providing a clear, personalised roadmap toward financial security and long-term fulfilment.

Outside of work, Pienaar enjoys walking, cycling, and playing social golf with his wife, and values spending quality time with family and friends.

Charl Vertue

Wealth Executive

Charl has been part of the financial and accounting industry since 2005, bringing nearly two decades of expertise to his role as a Professional Accountant (SA). His main areas of specialization include accounting, tax structuring, and financial problem-solving—helping clients make sound decisions that support long-term growth and stability.

Charl finds great fulfilment in working with a special group of clients—many of whom he has grown alongside—watching them prosper both personally and financially. For him, the true reward lies in making a meaningful difference in people’s lives and helping them view finance and investment through a fresh, strategic lens.

After completing his B.Compt degree through UNISA and finishing his auditing articles, Charl quickly realized that auditing wasn’t his lifelong calling. However, those early years provided invaluable insight into business structures and processes across multiple industries. This experience laid the foundation for his passion: helping business owners—particularly medical specialists—manage and grow their practices, a field in which he has built over 13 years of experience.

Outside of work, Charl enjoys spending quality time with his family—often next to the sports field or relaxing around a braai with friends. He also has a love for fishing and hunting, which allow him to unwind and recharge.

Lodewyk Uys

Head of Rhythm and Group Distribution

Since joining the financial services industry in 2014, Lodewyk has been dedicated to helping individuals and professionals plan for long-term financial security and success. Armed with a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics and International Trading, RE1 and RE5 certifications, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning, he brings both academic depth and practical insight to every client relationship.

Specialising in long-term financial planning, succession planning, and strategic growth, Lodewyk believes that no two financial journeys are the same. Every plan he creates is carefully tailored to fit the client’s unique goals and circumstances. His proactive communication and hands-on approach ensure that clients always feel supported and confident in their decisions.

For Lodewyk, the greatest reward lies in seeing that “light bulb moment” when clients truly grasp the power of sound financial planning. Having personally experienced the value of risk cover after a back injury that kept him on income protection for a year, he understands the importance of building financial resilience.

Outside the office, he enjoys exercising, reading, and spending time with his wife and two children — the constants that keep him balanced and motivated to make a lasting difference in the lives of those he serves.

Kennith Lawrence

Kennith brings over four decades of experience in Corporate and Business Banking, offering deep expertise in evaluating business risk, structuring investments, and forecasting future revenues to generate sustainable, long-term wealth.

His work extends to identifying and structuring integrated opportunities that enhance the value chain of both existing and emerging business ventures.

Kennith played a key role in the design and development of the Prism Family Office, a platform that provides high-net-worth individuals and families with a single point of entry into a holistic financial ecosystem—offering tailored investment solutions to create and preserve wealth. He also assists Prism clients in developing family constitutions to ensure the successful transfer of wealth across generations.

Kennith holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of the Free State, an AMP Diploma from GIBS Business School, an Advanced Diploma in Management from Henley Business School, and has completed the RE 1 regulatory examination through Moonstone.

Duncan Cairns

Director

Prism Generational Wealth is led by Duncan Cairns, a seasoned businessman in the financial services sector and brings a wealth of experience in creating and identifying opportunities in various sectors of business. His current role as the CEO of the Third Age Group places him at the centre of Prism Generational Wealth.  His keen negotiation skills has opened many new investment opportunities within the Third Age Group, which are offered to the clients of Prism Generational Wealth.  

Duncan attained his Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of the Free State and possesses 36 years of extensive experience in business operations and management.
